Welcome to Oro Estate. How can I help you today?
Cookie Policy
Last updated: 13 June 2026
The Oro Estate website uses cookies and similar techniques, including the Meta (Facebook) Pixel. This cookie policy explains what cookies are, which ones we use, what for, how long we keep them and how you can refuse or delete them.
1. What are cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit our website. By “similar techniques” we mean, among other things, local storage in your browser and pixels (small, invisible images used to measure events). Cookies help the website work properly, remember your preferences and help us and third parties measure how the website is used and how effective our advertising is.
2. Consent
We always place necessary and functional cookies; these are needed for the website to work and do not require consent.
On your first visit we show a cookie notice. By continuing to use our website, you agree to the placing of marketing cookies, in particular the Meta Pixel. You can refuse or reverse this at any time. How to do so is explained under “6. Refusing, managing or deleting cookies”.
3. Which cookies we use
Necessary cookies — needed for the website and member portal to work securely:
- oro_cookie_notice: remembers that you have seen the cookie notice, so it does not reappear on every visit. Retention: 1 year.
- Session and login cookies from our authentication provider (Supabase): needed to log in securely to the member portal and remember your session. Retention: from the duration of your session up to a few months.
Functional cookies — remember your choices:
- Language preference and saved properties: remembered via cookies and local storage, so the site opens in your language and your favourites are kept.
- oro_cookie_optout: remembers when you have refused marketing cookies. Retention: 1 year.
Marketing cookies — placed via the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to measure the effect of our advertising and show you relevant ads on Facebook and Instagram:
- _fbp: recognises your browser to measure visits and advertising results. Retention: about 3 months.
- _fbc: placed when you arrive on our site via a Meta ad and links that click to your visit. Retention: about 3 months.
4. Meta Pixel and Conversions API
We use the Meta Pixel from Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. The Pixel loads on every page and measures, among other things, page views and enquiries.
In addition, we use the server-side Conversions API: from our own server we send certain events (such as a submitted enquiry) directly to Meta, linked to the browser event via the same event ID so that double counting is avoided. This lets us measure how well our advertising performs. Meta processes this data as a (joint) controller in accordance with its own privacy policy.
5. Third-party cookies and services
- Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. — Meta Pixel and Conversions API, for advertising measurement and marketing (see point 4).
- Google Fonts (Google Ireland Ltd.) — we load our fonts via Google Fonts. Google receives your IP address in the process, but no tracking cookie is placed.
- Embedded video (YouTube and Vimeo) — on some pages we show videos. When you play a video, YouTube or Vimeo may place their own cookies in accordance with their policies.
These parties process data according to their own privacy and cookie policies.
6. Refusing, managing or deleting cookies
You can refuse or delete marketing and other cookies in several ways:
- Through your browser settings you can block or delete cookies, including _fbp and _fbc.
- Through your Meta ad preferences (facebook.com/adpreferences and your Instagram settings) you can limit personalised advertising.
- You can also ask us to opt you out of marketing cookies via info@oroestate.nl.
Please note: disabling certain cookies may affect how the website works.
7. Retention periods
The retention period is listed per cookie above. Once the period expires, the cookie lapses automatically unless you delete it sooner yourself. Data that we or Meta process on the basis of these cookies is not kept longer than necessary for the stated purposes.
8. Changes
We may update this cookie policy from time to time. The most recent version is always available on this page.
